Random ramblings of a bokworm ;) #93

Change of plans
Winter is going... hopefully
And
The latest book haul

Well hello there my lovely people :) here we are with my new #RandomRamblings post and... well... to be honest I don't have that much to tell you today... :) and even more, the first two headlines are connected, so I'm gonna talk about them in one paragraph and then just jump into all the good stuff :) and by that I mean all the books... you didn't took me seriously when I said during my last book haul that I'm gonna take a break... yeah... ;)

Ok, so I'm not sure if it's the weather... I am sooo over all the cold and dark and cold... yes, it's so cold I had to mention it twice... *sighs dramatically* ;) I need some warmer days... with more sun and such... so because of the awful weather and the fact that I've been sick or almost sick basically the whole february... yeah... I was not in the best mood... especially since I had to cancel some plans I was very much looking forward to, because I can't be sick right now... too much stuff at work... and it irritates me... and frustrates me... so I need to make some changes to shake off this rut I'm in... let's just say some big decisions were made over the weekend and I already started working on implementing some of them into my life, and planning to make other ones true :) more details to come in the future... preferably sooner than later :)

Since I don't like to focus too much on bad stuff here, let me jump straight into all the awesome books I got... in my defense, a few of them were on sale... as for the rest... I have no excuses :)

I got the remaining books in Bridgertons series by Julia Quinn :) those historical romances about siblings from one family are definitely one of my favourite ones, so I am more than happy to own the whole series now :) if you haven't already, definitely check them out, they are hilarious :)

"Monstress" is the first volume in a graphic novel series that I heard nothing but praises about :) I don't know much else about it, besides the fact that apparently it's sort of steampunk / fantasy-ish mix with a young heroine who has a mysterious connection to a powerful monster... do I need more details? no, I do not ;)

The same can be said about the second graphic novel I got :) "Lumberjanes" is the beginning of a series and I know that I read something more about the plot and such before I got it, but I remember nothing about it right now :) oh well, I'm just gonna be surprised ;)

"Of fire and stars" by Audrey Coulthurst is a fantasy story about a princess bethrothed from an early age to a prince, but who falls for his sister instead :) I need nothing else, especially since it came very highly recommended from a very trusted source :) will tell you if it's worth all the hype :)

What can I tell you about Kane chronicles by Rick Riordan... to be honest... nothing :) I just love his writing style, so expect me to keep buying his books until I have them all :) I have to check, but I think I'm pretty close to achieving this goal :)

Since The league by Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my all time favourite series, I am ridiculously happy to have all the books on my shelf... finally :) it's this sci-fi / paranormal sort of series, with different planets, different species, sarcastic humor, action and surprising twists all the time... :) I love it :)

It took them a while, but my copy of "The unbound" by Victoria Schwab, sequel in her The archived series is finally here :) I bought it with the first one, but this one didn't come in the mail the first time... it took them a while to send a second copy, but it's finally here :) I have no idea what it's about... do you see a theme in this book haul? ;) but I love the writing style of the author so naturally I had to get it :)

I fell in love with Becky Albertalli and her writing style once I read "Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda" and I immediately bought this gem: "The upside of unrequited" and pre-order her new book :) yep, she's that good :) I might surprise you, but... yep, I remember nothing what this book is about... ;) oh well, let's just go with the flow today people :)

Last but not least, I got the remaining books in Wallflowers series by Lisa Kleypas ;) she's a master when it comes to historical romances full of witty banter, sinful seduction, strong heroines and swoonworthy heroes... if you haven't read her books yet, you are missing out :)

Ok, that's a wrap for this short but sweet post... :) I hope you enjoyed my more random than usual ramblings :) as always, if you want to contact me, the easiest way is through my Facebook page or Goodreads account :) cause I love talking with you guys :) have an awesome day ;)

XOXO
