Weekly wrap up #5 ;) january 22nd - january 28th

Hello my awesome people :) how was your week? cause mine was definitely better than the last one... at least when it came to reading... other stuff? well... not so much, but we will work through that and do better :) but for now, let me tell you all about the books I read this past week :) starting with the ones I was in the middle of and was able to finish, then the ones I read entirely during the week, and finishing with the ones I just read partially :)

"Storm of desire" by Bec McMaster
from 14% to 100% -> 304 pages; finished

My original plan was to finish this amazing sequel in Bec's fantasy series over the last weekend... yeah, that didn't happen :) I was way too busy over those two days, so I managed to just start it late sunday evening... I absolutely loved this book :) I was in pain when I had to put it down because of adult stuff, like work and such ;) finished it as fast as I could, and if you want to know more about this world and these characters, be sure to check out my full review here -> READ ME <- :)

"Złodziej dusz" by Aneta Jadowska
from page 293 to page 447; finished

I finally finished this urban fantasy novel and absolutely loved it :) I don't want to say too much about it, cause it's in polish and not available in translation so majority of you will never have the chance to read it, but it's about a woman who is a detective but also a witch... she has a mystery to solve within the pages of this first novel and... I adored this book :) it has such a rich world and I already can't wait to dive into the second book later today :)

"The titan's curse" by Rick Riordan
from page 161 to page 312; finished

I've had so many plans about finishing this series in general and they were constantly changing... at one point I wanted to finish this one and the last two in the series by the end of january, but as we can see from the date, it's not gonna happen ;) anywho... ;) I am having such a blast with these stories :) especially now, since I am finally entering the completely unknown territory :) you see, I read the first three books ages ago... and in translation ;) so I sort of remembered certain things, but now... now it's all new :) I'm so excited to finish the series soon and see what will happen :)

"Marriage of inconvenience" by Penny Reid
from 1% to 100% -> 500 pages; finished

One of the books I was able to read entirely was an eARC of one of my most highly anticipated books of the year :) but first, a little backstory... ;) Penny Reid is my current favourite author... so imagine my joy and excitement when I was accepted into her ARC review team... *squeels with joy and excitement* <- this happens every time I say it... every... damn... time... ;) anywho... :) that means I can get my hands on her books much sooner than I thought... so naturally as soon as this gem landed on my kindle I started it... it took me the longest time reading, mainly because I read it super slowly, cause I didn't want it to end... it was perfection :) you can find my full review already on Goodreads -> READ ME <- but definitely pre-order this one ASAP... it was phenomenal :)

"A murder is announced" by Agatha Christie
from page 1 to page 292; finished

Only my second book ever by Agathe Christie, but definitely not the last :) once again, I had no idea who did it and why and how... but I loved the story :) I mean... announcing in the newspaper that a murder will happen at a certain address, on a precise date and time... how can you not be intrigued by that? :) if you read some of her books, definitely let me know which one would you recommend me to read first :)

"Nimona" by Noelle Stevenson
from page 1 to page 256; finished

This was definitely not a planned read :) but I had a surprisingly free sunday and after reading a mystery novel I was in the mood for something different... :) so I picked this graphic novel on a whim :) it was a super fast read and definitely much better than I expected :) I thought it would be a funny story about Nimona, a shapeshifter who becomes a sidekick to the villain of the story... but oh no... it's soooo much more :) I am not gonna give anything away, but I was very impressed... I highly recommend you to give it a try :)

"Love hacked" by Penny Reid
from 18% to 45% -> 89 pages

I am slowly making my way through this audiobook... loving every minute of it :) I'm only listening to it on my commute to and from work, that's why it takes me so long to finish it... plus, I don't want to rush through it... Alex was my favourite up until I read the last book in the series ("Marriage of inconvenience" which you can read more about above) and now I am torn between him and Dan ;) we'll see how it'll go :) but since it's a re-read for me, if you want to know more about my thoughts and feelings, you can already read my full review here -> READ ME <- :)

Total page count of the week:

I'm sorry... what!?!?!? how many pages I have read?!?!?!? even if you take into consideration that part of it is a graphic novel... like... when?!?!?!? :) I don't know and I don't care, because it was definitely an amazing reading week for me :) I don't expect to repeat this anytime soon, but it was sooo much fun :) I read a hell of a lot of pages... managed to finish all of the books I wanted, and then some ;) honestly, I would write more but I am still shocked by the amount of pages I managed to read... like... damn... ;)
