Weekly wrap up #4 ;) january 15th - january 21st

Welcome back to my fairly new weekly series, where I talk about all the books I read, or partially read, in the previous week :) usually I start with the ones I was in the middle of and was able to finish, but there are none books like that this week, so we are gonna start with the one I was able to read entirely, and then I will talk all about the novels I started... yeah... let's dive in :)

"Season of wind" by Aimee Hyndman
from 1% to 100% -> 272 pages; finished :)

The first and only book I was able to finish this past week is the sequel in The clockwork gods chronicles :) you definitely have to read the first book to follow all the events in this one, so I can't tell you too much about it :) what I will say is that it's a fantasy / steampunk-ish series full of action, surprising turns of events, witty banter and characters you will fall in love with :) the main heroine is Janet, a teenage thief with a prosthetic arm :) if that doesn't sound interesting, I don't know what will :) I loved the sequel as much as the first book, will have my full review up later this week :)

"Złodziej dusz" by Aneta Jadowska
from page 207 to page 293

This was one of the two books I planned to finish this week... yeah... I got to the part, where I knew that over the last about 150 pages there will be like non stop action and resolution to the mystery and all that, so I decided to leave it for a time when I can read it in one sitting... unfortunately that time didn't come... so I am gonna have to read it next week :) this is an urban fantasy story, but I won't tell you anything else about it, cause it's a book that is not available in translation, and I assume that the majority of you guys can't read in polish ;)

"The titan's curse" by Rick Riordan
from page 90 to page 161

This was the second book I planned on finishing this past week... and again, it just didn't happen... I'm not really sure why... cause I am absolutely loving the story :) I remember next to nothing from this installment, which I read years ago, so when I actually pick up the book, I fly through chapters :) it's just that I haven't had too much time this past week, but I am hoping to finish it this week... mainly cause I was a good blogger and caught up on a lot of stuff over the weekend :) more about it in the outro ;)

"Love hacked" by Penny Reid
from 1% to 18% -> 60 pages

I adore this book :) Penny Reid is my current favourite author ever... :) and the story about Sandra and Alex... *sighs dreamily* Alex... *sighs dreamily again* sorry, where was I? ;) I love this book, and this is my first re-read of it :) this time, I am listening to the audiobook version, which is really good :) I discovered my love for this form of reading quite recently, and now I am using my commute to and from work to listen to audiobooks, cause it makes holding on in buses and such that much easier ;) it's a contemporary romance, part of a series but can be read as a standalone :) if you want to know more, you can read my full review here -> READ ME <- :)

"Storm of desire" by Bec McMaster
from 1% to 14% -> 50 pages

This... this is one of the reasons why my reading plan went to hell this past week ;) but oh how glad I am because of it :) on saturday I got the eARC of this amazing sequel in Legends of the storm fantasy series ;) unfortunately, since I had quite a few things to do over the weekend I just barely managed to start it, and it wasn't until sunday evening, when I was determind to read at least a few chapters before I went to bed... it resulted in a lot of coffe today, but it was worth it ;)

Total page count of the week:
539

Sooo... this was a weird week... I definitely didn't read as much as I planned and wanted to... I was sort of busy throughout like half of it, but when I had some free time I was just in a very... peculiar mood... not really in the mood to read, it was a very *meh* sort of situation... then I was pretty busy over the weekend, so even though I really wanted to read, especially that eARC, I decided to be a grown up and prepare a lot of stuff for my blog, so that I would have a better week, and not be stressed out by everything I have to write over a very short amount of time... all of that resulted in me reading much less than I anticipated, but that's ok :) not all weeks have to be the ones when I read tons of pages :) all in all, I still have to say that it was a pretty good reading week :)

XOXO

A
