Review: "Man card" by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby

Authors: Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby
Title: "Man card"
Book 2 in series: Man hands
Main characters: Braht and Ash

I got an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review :) this is the second installment in a new series co-written by these two lovely authors, but worry not if you are not familiar with that first story, cause this one works perfectly well as a standalone :) I definitely enjoyed it, although not as much as the first one... but I still gave it 4,5 stars, so you know it's a great book :) let me tell you a bit more about our main couple and the general plot of the story, and then I will say a bit more about my thoughts and feelings about it :)

We met both Ash and Braht in the previous book :) so as much as that first installment is not needed to understand everything, it will definitely give you a better background into all the connections between characters :) Ash, as well as Braht, is a real estate agent... they work for the same company, just different branches... at least at first ;) they are both competitive, although Ash is definitely worst when it comes to her need to win... ;) Braht can definitely be described as metrosexual... a confident man who takes care of himself and his appearance :) I have to say that he surprised me... from those few glimpses I saw in the first book I did not expect to like him as much as I did :) he very unexpectedly stole my heart :) Ash on the other hand... I liked her just fine but... I just didn't really *click* with her... when I pointed the fact that I liked Brynn, the heroine of the first book more, my lovely sister said it's obvious, because she was much more similar to me... ;) so since Ash is so different, no wonder I didn't relate to her as much :) in addition, their relationship is definitely more on the constant-push-and-pull side, with a little bit of hate-to-love sprinkled on, and that's just not my favourite kind... there's nothing wrong with those types of stories, but I prefer different ones ;) just my personal opinion :)

Like I said before, I ultimately gave this book 4,5 stars, because even though it had some things I wasn't the biggest fan of, I still had a lot of fun reading it :) once again it was written in 2 POVs, which means we got chapters from Ash's perspective, intertwined with the ones from Braht's point of view :) the writing style was entertaining and fast paced, and you can't really tell that two separate people wrote the story :) and when it comes to books co-written by a duo it's always the best compliment I can give :) we got to see the couple from the first story, which I loved, cause I adore them :) not only that but we got to know more about the last from the trio of friends: Sadie :) from what I know there are plans to write a book about her, but they just have to work on their schedules :) although I have to say that I am hoping for much more stories from them :) not only in this series, although I see some potential for a person or two ;) but I think they work so great together, it would be a shame if we wouldn't get more stories... ;) just putting this thought out there ;) so if you are looking for a contemporary romance with amazing writing style, that will make you laugh out loud many times, then definitely give this book, and this whole series, a try :)
